Tuition & Fees

NBCCD provides an exceptional educational experience with tuition and fees that are some of the most affordable in Canada. We welcome students of all ages, backgrounds and cultures, and design our programs to foster your personal voice and vision within an atmosphere of collegiality and mutual respect. Since our students are diverse, our programs are too.

Fees are subject to change without notice and students are accountable for all costs associated with studying at the College in Canadian dollars.

Method of Payment

Payments can be made online at the following link: www.snb.ca/e/0001e.asp#.  Select the ‘For Residents’ tab, and look for ‘New Brunswick College of Craft and Design – Payments’  in the ‘Education’ section.  Information regarding online payments can be found here: www.snb.ca/e/4000/4900e.asp .

Payments will also be taken at any Service New Brunswick Service Centre.  There is a Service New Brunswick Service Centre at 432 Queen St (across the street from the College).  Cheques and money orders are to be made payable to ‘Minister of Finance’.

You will need to pick up a Statement at the Registrar’s Office prior to making payment. 

All requests for Confirmation of Enrolment will be processed 3 – 5 days after registration.

Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents

Time Frames for Payment

  1. All applicants are required to pay a non-refundable APPLICATION FEE when submitting an application.
  2. CONFIRMATION FEE and EMERGENCY HEALTH INSURANCE FEE (specific to international applicants) must be paid within 30 days of receiving an acceptance letter from NBCCD. Payment of these fees confirms your acceptance and seat at the College. Confirmation fees are non-refundable.
  3. GENERAL and STUDIO FEES are required the day of registration. If you would like to pay these fees before the day of registration, please contact the Registrar’s Office by email: nbccdregistrar@gnb.ca

International Students

At NBCCD we recognize making the decision to study abroad can be overwhelming. We understand that taking the time to consider all the changes you will be facing is important.

NBCCD provides an exceptional educational experience with tuition and fees that are some of the most affordable in Canada. To make your transition easier, here are the estimated costs per year related to studying at the College. Fees are subject to change without notice and students are accountable for all costs associated with studying at the College. All costs are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD).

Time Frames for Payment

  1. All applicants are required to pay a $100 non-refundable APPLICATION FEE when submitting an application.
  2. CONFIRMATION and EMERGENCY HEALTH INSURANCE FEES (Guard Me, specific to international applicants) must be paid within 60 days of receiving an acceptance letter from NBCCD. Payment of these fees confirms your acceptance and seat at the College. Confirmation fees are non-refundable.
  3. GENERAL and STUDIO FEES are required the day of registration. If you would like to pay these fees before the day of registration, please contact the Registrar’s Office by email: nbccdregistrar@gnb.ca

Materials, books & art supplies

Supplies and materials cost approximately $2,000 annually and vary depending on the Program and course assignments. Many of these supplies are available in our College store.

Laptop Programs

Students in the Digital Media, Graphic Design and Photography Diploma Programs are required to purchase their own laptops. The students should meet with the Program’s Coordinating Instructor to discuss what kind of laptop they will need and the computer specifications to meet program requirements.

Estimated Living Expenses

Living expenses will depend upon individual preference, but here are some estimates of annual costs:

  • Accommodations & Utilities  — $7,200 (based on shared accommodations)
  • Food and incidentals — $4,200 (or more depending on lifestyle)
  • Local transportation — $500-700

Housing and Accommodation Resources

NBCCD does not offer on-campus housing. However, we are located in the heart of downtown Fredericton, making it very convenient to find housing and giving you access to many shops, galleries, parks, restaurants and other amenities. Here are some sites to help you secure living arrangements:
