Allison Green
Content Creator
Certificate in Graduate Studies, Diploma in Textile Design: Print, Certificate in Foundation Visual Arts – NBCCD
“Whether I am posting about a student success, interviewing an alum about their business, or working with a teacher to better represent their program – I am fascinated by the wealth of creativity and cooperative nature of the artisans who pass through these doors.”
Allison Green is the Online Recruitment Coordinator at NBCCD. She is responsible for content creation for online and print articles, the quarterly zine, and for social media. She is the first point of contact for incoming inquiries and for tours of the College.
Allison is a conceptual textile artist who works in silk painting and mixed media sculpture, growing her experimental practice through grants, residencies, and exhibitions. She has received an ArtsNB Creation Grant for her project Connectome, and the Nel Oudemans Award for excellence in an emerging artist.
Her work has been shown in solo exhibitions at The Charlotte Street Arts Centre and the Saint John Arts Centre, and she has participated in group exhibitions at the NB Museum, the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto, and many others. She was an intern for the inaugural Sculpture Saint John International Symposium, and has been the artist in residence for Kingsbrae Gardens, Fredericton Arts Alliance, The Charlotte Street Arts Centre, and recently Fundy National Park for Craft NB’s Beneath the Surface residency.
A fun fact about Allison: She inherited a green thumb, and she likes to use her microscope to look more closely at the things she grows and finds in her garden.
