Downtown Fredericton

Fredericton, New Brunswick, is one of Canada’s most beautiful, clean and safe capital cities. A designated Cultural Capital of Canada, it is home to some fantastic events and festivals, including the international Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival held every fall. There are lots of social events and groups, and an array of activities from dancing at nightclubs to theatre, rock climbing, comedy shows, gaming conventions and cultural festivals.

Fredericton has more than 88 kms of city trails for biking, walking, running, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. There are many rinks for winter skating and hills for sledding, offering family-friendly fun.

Apartment and house rentals are available within walking distance of the College and costs are reasonable. Fredericton is one of “Canada’s Top 10 Best Places to Live” according to Money Sense magazine, and it was even voted one of the “#1 Great Places in Canada” by the Canadian Institute of Planners.

Welcome to Fredericton — a place you can call home!

The College acknowledges that the land on which the campus is located and where we gather is the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik Peoples. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Wolastoqiyik Peoples first signed with the British crown in 1725.

The College is located in the heart of historic downtown Fredericton where you are just steps away from a vibrant selection of restaurants, galleries, boutiques, trails, parks, markets and the picturesque Saint John River. Our campus consists of two 19th-century brick buildings where you’ll find a sense of history combined with cutting-edge technology. You'll have access to:

  • fully equipped studios with both traditional and modern tools and equipment.
  • state-of-the-art Mac computer labs and industry-standard software.
  • a library that boasts one of the finest craft, design and visual arts resource collections in Atlantic Canada.
  • a College store where you can purchase most of your academic and arts supplies at discount prices.
  • the George Fry Gallery, which exhibits the work of students and established professionals in the arts.
