Beginning this September, students at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design will have access to group medical and dental benefits as students of the College.
NBCCD students voted to implement an optional extended health and dental insurance plan at a general assembly in March. The NBCCD Student Association will now provide the service for students beginning in September 2016. Students will have the option of paying $260 for the extended health plan, $148 for the dental plan, or $408 for both, with coverage continuing from September through to August of the following year.
Health and dental benefits will be provided through The Campus Trust, campustrust.ca, a student-run non-profit providing group healthcare to students at eleven colleges and universities across Canada. Participating in The Campus Trust allows NBCCD students a direct say in the benefits available through their plan and helps provide the best insurance plans for the best rates.
