Steeped in the legacy of technical craft and design and paired with innovation in modern technology, students of the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design (NBCCD) develop their skills as visual storytellers while studying at this longstanding craft and design institute. With this exhibition, the 2023 graduating class from eight diploma programs contribute their visions to the ongoing evolution of New Brunswick’s cultural lexicon. These emerging creatives have toiled through troubling times and continue to chase their dreams despite incredible roadblocks. Their passion, vision, and dedication to crafting a life of creative expression honours the past, indulges in the present, and casts a bold light on the luminous future of craft and design.

Participating diploma exhibits include 3D Digital Design, Ceramics, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Jewellery/Metal Arts, Photography/Videography, Textile Design, and Wabanaki Visual Arts.

Event Details

The NBCCD Diploma Exhibit 2023 will be open to the public from June 10 to August 27, 2023. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of artistic expression, witness groundbreaking creations, and experience the future of design and craftsmanship.

Private Opening Reception

The excitement begins with the exclusive Opening Reception on June 9, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm. This event is for NBCCD diploma graduates and their distinguished guests following the convocation reception. It will serve as a prelude to the public opening on June 10, offering attendees an insider’s perspective into the exceptional talent nurtured within NBCCD’s programs.

From intricately designed jewellery to thought-provoking fashion lines and cutting-edge digital creations, each piece represents the culmination of years of dedication, skill development, and creative exploration.
