Originally from the UK, Gary worked for many years in London and New York before he made Fredericton his home. Gary will join us on campus for a one-week Visiting Artist session from November 2 - 6, 2026. Known for his innovating collaborations and material explorations combined with photography, Gary was the first Black New Brunswick artist to have a solo show at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in 2022. This summer, his work returned to gallery as part of the "Still Here: Preserving Our Legacy" exhibition. Don't miss this excellent opportunity to connect with a local artist with international recognition.

There are four ways to engage with Gary as part of this program:

1. Open Lecture

Monday, November 2n 12-1pm (Location: Room B2004 in the Barracks Building)
Students and faculty are invited to attend this open lecture exploring Gary’s journey from Commercial Photography to Fine Art Photography and Filmmaking. All members of the NBCCD community are welcome to attend. Feel free to bring your lunch!

2. Exhibition Tour: Still Here – Preserving Our Legacy

Wednesday, November 4, 12-1pm, Beaverbrook Art Gallery
