Sell Your Work at NBCCD’s Seasonal Shop

Creative Casemates is a seasonal retail space that celebrates the work of NBCCD students, alumni, and members of the local creative community. Located in downtown Fredericton, the shop showcases contemporary craft, art, and design while creating opportunities for emerging makers to gain professional experience in retail and entrepreneurship.

Applications to become a Creative Casemates vendors typically open each February.

Become a Vendor

Creative Casemates welcomes applications from artists, designers, and makers working across a range of disciplines, including ceramics, jewellery, textiles, fashion, photography, printmaking, illustration, home goods, and more.

Selected vendors will have the opportunity to:

Sell work in a professional retail environment
Connect with new audiences and customers
Gain experience in product presentation and merchandising
Be featured as part of NBCCD’s creative community

Creative Casemates Guidelines

All goods sold must be handmade locally within New Brunswick.

Rental
Guidelines

Rental period: June 11 – August 30, 2026.
The rental rate is $1200 for the season + $100 damage deposit.
Rent can be split between multiple vendors, but the group is responsible for paying the rent and the damage deposit on schedule. The payment will only be accepted in full.
Current students at NBCCD receive a 50% discount on rent.

The Space
and Keys

A key will be provided to the tenant to share with the salespeople in their specific shop.
Each casemate shop is roughly 25 ft deep and 10 ½ ft wide with track (16 lights) and fluorescent lighting. The walls and ceiling are mostly brick and the flooring could be wooden or cement. There are large wooden doors that open to a boardwalk.
A salesperson, who has their work in the shop, must be present at all times.

Accomodations

NBCCD will maintain a webpage regarding the program on our website and advertise the shops via our social media.
Drinking water is made available from the fountain in NBCCD. Washrooms for tenants and salespeople are located in NBCCD.
NBCCD is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of products.
NBCCD will provide access to power, in your assigned shop. Please note there is no access to running water in the shops.
