In 1988, in celebration of our 50^th anniversary, we established Fellows of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. Since that time, this certificate has been awarded to more than 60 individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development and well being of the college and the people who work there.

2024 NBCCD Fellow

Bernard is the founding Executive Director of Craft Alliance Atlantic Association. He was instrumental in the strategic development of the organization in 2009, after two years of research and consultation. Craft Alliance Atlantic is a non-profit trade association operating under a private-public partnership structure. Bernard has been working in craft, in a pan-Atlantic capacity since 2000.

Bernard has been involved in the Canadian craft industry now for the past 38 years and has been involved in many aspects of the sector including: craft producer, retailer, administrator, collector and volunteer. He has done extensive research in the areas of art licensing and craft experiential tourism, and has organized dozens of educational missions to many industry events like Surtex Licensing, SOFA Chicago, Collect UK, International Contemporary Furniture Fair, Wanted Design and others.
