Leap into Fall with our non credit courses! This fall, we’re offering something new.

This 7 week Portfolio Development class is a 7-week course designed for high school students to create a professional visual arts portfolio, a requisite to admissions for post-secondary visual arts and craft programs. This course is designed to equip and empower students with the ideas, concepts, techniques, and tools of contemporary creative practices. The course will strive to give students the skills, ideas, and confidence to make creative production a serious, enjoyable, and thoughtful professional practice. Weekly sessions will be introduced with a quick slideshow presentation and discussion about many of the themes, ideas, and strategies that inform art history and contemporary art and craft practices. The course will also offer help with documentation, as well as guidance on college and university application procedures and career opportunities.

MATERIAL COST: Approximately $40.00.

PLEASE NOTE: The material cost is a ballpark, during the first class instructor Jared will talk about materials, how to keep costs down on art supplies, and what you will need for the course.
