NBCCD students participate in 2023 Craft East

NBCCD students showcase entrepreneurship and production skills at 2023 Craft East

Twenty NBCCD students will participate in the 2023 Craft East Buyers’ Expo hosted by the Craft Alliance Atlantic Association.

Each year, Craft East provides the opportunity for Atlantic Canadian craftspeople to share and sell their products with gallery owners, buyers, and purchasers from Canada, the United States, and worldwide. NBCCD entrepreneurship students have attended every year since 2005 as part of their curriculum at the college.

Students showcase their work; take wholesale orders and network with gallerists and store owners.

Craft East is hosted in Halifax, Nova Scotia from February 10 to 12, 2023.

This year, NBCCD students’ products include textile design, jewellery and metal arts, ceramics, and quillwork. Equipped with business cards, pitches, wholesale order forms and price lists, and advice from their instructors, many students find success at these shows—selling their products to wholesale retailers from far and wide and growing their reputation amongst the fine craft community.
