    Identify the PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS for your program of choice, including the specific transcript and portfolio you will need to apply.

    Important Note: Unless you can demonstrate equivalent visual arts training, you must enter the College through our Foundation Visual Arts program to continue into a studio diploma.

    Submit your online APPLICATION FORM and $100 APPLICATION FEE by the January 15 soft deadline. Although we accept applications all year, seat capacity is competitive and admission is offered to qualified applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure your application is competitive, and allow enough time to apply for your Canadian Study Permit, we encourage early applications. Applications to our diploma programs have a deadline of January 15 to avoid waitlists.

    If your language of instruction was English, request that your former educational institution submit your official TRANSCRIPT OF MARKS to our Admissions Office via email,, or via fax to +1 506-457-7352.

    If your language of instruction was not English, then you will need to submit NOTARIZED TRANSLATED TRANSCRIPTS via email,, or via fax to +1 506-457-7352.

    Submit proof of ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY. Visit the Admission Requirements page to see the acceptable language tests and minimum scores.


Your application is not considered complete until all steps are fulfilled. Your decision letter will be emailed and include the required next steps to become a student at NBCCD.

  • I have been accepted to NBCCD. What's next?

    You can find details of next steps in your decision letter from NBCCD. Any changes will be communicated via email.

    1. Pay CONFIRMATION FEE of $700 (CAD) and EMERGENCY HEALTH INSURANCE FEE of $600 (CAD) within 30 days of receiving an acceptance or conditional acceptance letter. Click “Apply Now” to pay this fee online.
    2. If you receive a CONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE, submit any outstanding items as soon as they are available. They must be received before you register in the Fall.
    3. Receive your ORIENTATION PACKAGE by email in early August. Attend your first day of classes in early September.
    4. Pay your TUITION & FEES no later than the first Friday of classes.
