Cooking with the College returns with a new video by Student Life Coordinator Jerry-Faye Flatt: Batch cooking breakfast burritos!
Let’s face it. Winter mornings are no good. It so easy to snooze that alarm, thinking about what awaits you. Will it be -30-degree temperatures? Will it be freeze-your-face-off winds? Will it be three feet of snow on your car? Whatever it is, you know you don’t have time to make breakfast anymore, because it’s already 7:15 and you must leave at 7:30 so you’re not late for your first class. Thank goodness you spent last night batch cooking. You grab an individually wrapped burrito out of a large container in your freezer. Pop it into the microwave, and voila! Delish, hot, steamy breakfast that would have taken you at least 10 minutes to cook up. Now you can go out and brave the day with a warm belly.
