The Student Employment Experience Development (SEED) program provides funding to employers to create summer job opportunities for students. These jobs can be as long as twelve weeks in duration, occurring between April 21 and September 5, 2025.
A student is eligible to apply for a SEED funded position if they are:
- a resident of New Brunswick (must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 6 months) or a First Nation community in New Brunswick;
- eligible to work in Canada (must have a valid SIN number);
not an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of the employer;
- a full-time student (grade 12, university or college) in the current academic year, and
- attending a post-secondary institution full-time in the upcoming fall (university or college).

Entrepreneurship Opportunities
SEED Student Entrepreneurship Applications Open
The Student Entrepreneurship component of the Student Employment and Experience Development Program (SEED) is a unique part of the Government of New Brunswick’s summer employment programming. It offers interest-free loans up to $3,000 to students who wish to create their own summer employment and gain valuable business experience by operating their own business. Retail shops, craftspeople, painting operations, computer companies, lawn care businesses and many other original ventures have received funding under Student Entrepreneurship in the past. THIRD SHIFT 2025 Volunteer Signup
THIRD SHIFT, a contemporary art festival presented by Third Space, a not-for-profit artist-run centre in Saint John, NB is looking for volunteers to assist with their nighttime festival happening on Saturday, August 16. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the art community of Saint John. Volunteers would only be required for short, 1 hour shifts between the hours of 3pm-11pm, pending their availability.
