Lakshmi Sindhura Reddy Muchalla is a fashion designer, with a background in engineering. She was inspired by Egyptian culture and architecture after seeing the film “The Mummy” when she was a child. Adapting different cultures into her craft is very important and inspiring to her and motivates her to create new artwork.
My debut fashion line, Loxodon Collections, will utilize contrasting asymmetrical elements, unifying shape and form. Using pleats and draping I have built forms that mimic Egyptian architectural design. This collection is complimented by black and bronze with violet details and uses leather, organza, rayon and kasha lining to create a modern and attractive silhouette.
