Studio Workshops

Drawing (A, B) In this step-by-step workshop, students will learn fundamental techniques to create their own drawing they get to take home. 
Fashion: Design Your Line (A, B) Create a group fashion line in 25 minutes using the 3-word approach! Will it be worthy of the catwalk or recycling bin? 
Shibori (A) Step into the mesmerizing world of Shibori, a traditional Japanese dyeing technique that creates stunning patterns through folding, twisting, and binding fabric. Leave with a beautifully dyed indigo bandana handcrafted by you.
Screen Printing (A) Get your hands messy and play with colour as you screen print your own custom bandana to take home.
Pamphlet Stitch Book (B) This beginner-friendly workshop teaches the art of creating a personalized, hand-stitched pamphlet book, ideal for journals, sketchbooks, or custom gifts.
Pin Hole Cameras & Photograms (A, B) Choose your own adventure! Learn to make and operate a simple pinhole camera, using a tin can and photographic paper and explore photograms in our signature darkroom. Photograms are images formed like x-rays by exposing light to photo paper creating perfect outlines objects placed on the paper.
Metal Stamping (A, B) Using common studio hammers and stamps, participants will create a beautiful copper pendant to take home. 
Pottery Throwdown (A, B) Test your skills (or lack of!) in our NBCCD Pottery Throwdown—fast-paced ceramics challenge.
